Skills and Competencies

• 5+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript programming experience; experience with UI libraries (React, remix, Vue.js, etc.) 

• Sound working knowledge of writing complex reusable UI components, microservices style of architecture, and creation and consumption of REST APIs 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively 

• Hands-on experience integrating Claude AI (Anthropic) or equivalent large language model APIs into front-end applications, including prompt engineering, streaming responses, and building AI-powered UI components 

• Familiarity with Claude API and MCP (Model Context Protocol) for building intelligent, context-aware front-end experiences — including UI that surfaces and confirms AI tool-calls/actions to the user, visualizes multi-step AI workflows, and handles tool-use result rendering in agentic pipelines 

• Experience testing and validating UI behavior with non-deterministic AI outputs, including loading and streaming states, partial response rendering, and error/fallback handling when model output is malformed, slow, or truncated 

• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to accelerate front-end development, with sound judgment on when to verify, refactor, or override AI-generated code 

• Security awareness specific to front-end AI integration, including safe rendering of AI-generated content to prevent XSS, protection against prompt injection via user-supplied input, and secure handling of API keys and tokens in browser contexts 

• Awareness of accessibility requirements for AI-driven interfaces, including ARIA live region announcements for streaming text updates, focus management in chat-style UIs, and keyboard-navigable AI action confirmation flows 

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure and familiarity with cloud-native architecture 

• Experience contributing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle experience including planning, designing, development, unit testing, other testing and debugging 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or computer science or equivalent experience 

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React JS using remix/react-router 

• Design and implement AI-assisted front-end features by integrating the Claude API (Anthropic), including chat interfaces, intelligent form assistance, and real-time AI-generated content rendering 

• Collaborate with ML and backend engineers to define Claude integration architecture, manage token context, and ensure secure, performant API usage 

• Implement and validate UI states for non-deterministic AI outputs — including streaming progress indicators, partial content rendering, graceful error and fallback states, and user-facing recovery flows when Claude API responses are slow or malformed 

• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor) to accelerate development while applying sound engineering judgment to review, verify, and own all AI-generated code before merge 

• Collaborate with product owners and QA analysts to define requirements and prioritize tasks 

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features 

• Work closely with team members to ensure successful delivery and implementation of tasks, liaising with management as needed. 

• Assist and guide less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth 

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams for effective solutions 

• Manage and support infrastructure and development applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
