Skills and Competencies
- Experience sourcing talent at scale across niche, specialist, or hard-to-find roles
- Proven ability to source across a range of specialist skill sets including sales, technical, data, engineering, finance, operations, and corporate functions
- Strong proficiency in core sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, and candidate databases, alongside a creative mindset for identifying alternative sourcing channels and new ways to reach talent
- Experience sourcing across multiple regional markets, with the ability to understand regional differences and adapt sourcing channels, messaging, and engagement approaches accordingly
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, using market intelligence, talent insights, and pipeline metrics to prioritize activity and inform sourcing strategies
- Strong commitment to delivering a high-quality candidate experience, with clear, timely, and professional communication that keeps candidates informed, engaged, and supported throughout the sourcing process
- Ability to operate independently while acting as a trusted sourcing partner to recruiters and hiring managers, providing subject matter expertise on candidate pools, talent availability, sourcing channels, and market insights
- Practical understanding of how AI-powered tools can support sourcing productivity, candidate identification, market mapping, outreach personalization, and pipeline development, with a commitment to responsible, ethical use in line with data privacy and risk management expectations
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sourcing experience will also be considered
Responsibilities
The Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in identifying and engaging top talent across specialist and hard-to-fill roles, building high-quality pipelines that support Moody's global talent acquisition strategy.
- Identify, assess, and build pipelines of passive candidates for niche, specialist, and hard-to-fill roles across multiple business areas
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, candidate databases, AI-enabled tools, and alternative sourcing channels to engage qualified talent at scale
- Act as a sourcing partner to recruiters and hiring managers by advising on talent availability, candidate pools, market trends, and insight-led sourcing strategies
- Develop and test creative sourcing strategies, talent maps, and outreach approaches to uncover new candidate pools and improve pipeline quality
- Maintain the CRM as a proactive sourcing tool by consistently growing, organising, and managing candidate pipelines to ensure accurate data, timely follow-up, and ready access to relevant talent communities for current and future hiring needs
- Conduct initial outreach and screening of candidates, assessing qualifications, interest, availability, and alignment with role requirements
- Use sourcing data, funnel metrics, response rates, candidate engagement insights, and market intelligence to track progress, improve conversion, and inform prioritisation against agreed KPIs and SLAs
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, sourcing technologies, labor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging talent acquisition tools to continuously refine sourcing techniques

We partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders to find specialist and hard-to-reach talent, using market insight, creative sourcing strategies, AI-enabled tools, and technology to support faster, more effective hiring.
