Skills and Competencies

  • 15+ years of experience in SAP leadership roles, with deep expertise across SAP Financials (FI/CO), Billing/Revenue (RAR), Tax, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Group Reporting, and core ERP modules
  • Proven ownership of global ERP platforms supporting multi-entity, multi-currency, and highly regulated financial environments, including demonstrated success with S/4HANA transformations and large-scale ERP modernization
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-year SAP programs — including ERP upgrades, compliance remediations, global order-to-cash initiatives, and cross-system integrations — with measurable outcomes and executive-level visibility
  • Strong grounding in clean-core architecture, DevSecOps practices, cloud integrations, automation, and embedded analytics within the SAP ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of global financial processes — record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, revenue operations, and audit/compliance — with the ability to translate financial and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large global organizations spanning internal teams, contractors, and strategic vendors; skilled in influencing senior business executives and steering enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar global budgets across run, transform, and innovation portfolios, including vendor negotiation, contract management, and delivery model optimization
  • Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency. Strong experience using AI tools to lead innovation initiatives. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, ensuring ethical governance, and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organization

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred

Responsibilities

This executive role is accountable for the strategy, modernization, operations, and global delivery of Moody's enterprise-wide SAP ecosystem across Finance, Controlling, Billing, Revenue, Tax, and cross-functional ERP platforms. 

  • Define and own the global SAP ERP strategy, driving a multi-year roadmap that includes upgrades, cloud modernization, clean-core standardization, and reduction of technical debt in alignment with corporate financial transformation objectives
  • Champion AI enablement, data platform integration, automation, and emerging capabilities within the SAP ecosystem, including S/4HANA embedded analytics, tax and compliance automation, and intelligent ERP features
  • Own global SAP production operations, ensuring high availability, resiliency, risk-controlled financial processing, and enforcement of DevSecOps practices, configuration standards, and change-management rigor
  • Lead all SAP-related programs and govern multi-million-dollar initiative portfolios, ensuring predictable delivery, value realization, and executive transparency across Finance, Ratings, Analytics, Compliance, Tax, Audit, and Technology stakeholders
  • Manage a global budget spanning run, transform, and innovation portfolios; optimize delivery models leveraging internal teams, contractors, and strategic partners, and drive cost efficiency through automation and architecture simplification
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, statutory reporting, global e-invoicing mandates, tax requirements, cybersecurity obligations, and audit requirements; oversee internal and external audit coordination and remediation
  • Lead and develop a global multi-disciplinary organization of solution architects, engineers, finance technology experts, SAP operations teams, and program managers, fostering a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, and outcomes-driven delivery
  • Champion data quality, integrity, and stewardship across all SAP financial processes, and build future-ready organizational capabilities in SAP, cloud, data, and automation

About the Team

The SAP Financials and Global ERP Platforms team is responsible for the enterprise-wide strategy, delivery, and operations of Moody's SAP ecosystem — spanning Finance, Controlling, Billing, Revenue, Tax, and cross-functional integrations across a global, highly regulated financial enterprise. The team partners closely with Finance, Ratings, Analytics, Compliance, Tax, and Audit functions worldwide to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial technology transformation. By combining deep SAP expertise with a commitment to clean-core architecture, AI enablement, and continuous innovation, the team plays a critical role in ensuring Moody's financial systems are resilient, forward-looking, and positioned for sustained growth.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $208,200.00 - $301,950.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
