Skills and Competencies

  • 7–12 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically Amazon EKS, designing and managing enterprise-scale container orchestration with advanced networking, security, and multi-tenancy.
  • Deep expertise in AWS serverless technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions to support scalable, event-driven architectures.
  • 4+ years of experience with Terraform, including advanced module design, state management, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Strong experience in vulnerability management and remediation using enterprise tools such as Tenable, Qualys, and AWS Inspector, with a focus on risk-based prioritization and compliance SLAs.
  • Expertise in cloud account hardening and security baselines, including CIS benchmarks, AWS security best practices, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, and encryption standards across multi-account environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux system administration, including OS-level configuration, system hardening, patching, and troubleshooting in large-scale distributed environments.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automated OS patch management and lifecycle strategies for both Linux and Windows systems.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible to automate patching, system configuration, compliance enforcement, and drift remediation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and PCI, with emphasis on vulnerability remediation, audit readiness, and control evidence.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Python, .NET, or similar languages to support automation and integration with operational workflows.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, security, and automation of cloud and systems infrastructure to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure DevOps platforms.
  • Architect and manage enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms on cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, multi-tenant, and highly available environments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of serverless architectures using cloud-native services to enable scalable, event-driven applications.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code strategies using Terraform, including advanced module design, state management, and CI/CD integration.
  • Design and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines using secure, reusable, and automated deployment workflows.
  • Lead vulnerability remediation efforts across cloud and hybrid infrastructure, coordinating with security teams to prioritize CVEs and ensure remediation within defined SLAs.
  • Design and enforce cloud account hardening standards, including IAM reviews, security group audits, network segmentation, and CSPM controls.
  • Manage OS-level patching for Windows and Linux server fleets, overseeing scheduling, testing, deployment, and rollback to maintain uptime.
  • Leverage Ansible playbooks to automate OS hardening, configuration drift remediation, and patch deployment at scale.
  • Collaborate with product, security, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with organizational objectives.
  • Promote a culture of DevOps excellence through automation, observability, and continuous improvement.

The Data Estate DevOps team enables the scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure that powers Moody’s enterprise data platform. The team focuses on reliable deployment, monitoring, and performance of data pipelines and services that deliver curated, high-quality data to internal and external consumers while maintaining strong security and compliance standards.
