Skills and Competencies
- 1-3 years of hands-on software development experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, JSON, XML, and Microservices.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Design Patterns, Agile/Scrum, and SDLC practices.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, Kafka, API Gateway, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, and build/version control tools such as Maven, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Subversion.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support Java-based financial applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP services, SQL, and Microservices.
- Collaborate with architects, development leads, business analysts, QA teams, and globally distributed technology teams to deliver business requirements.
- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, architecture discussions, code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and technical documentation.
- Provide production support through incident resolution, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, data analysis, and defect fixes.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of enterprise applications while following software engineering best practices and coding standards.
About the Team
The Moody’s Ratings Technology (Ratings Tech) team partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions that support critical Ratings business processes. The team is responsible for building and enhancing enterprise applications using modern Java-based architectures, APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and data platforms.
