Skills and Competencies

  • Foundational knowledge of C++ and/or C# with a willingness to deepen proficiency
  • Exposure to working with structured and semi-structured data formats (TXT, CSV, XML, JSON, HTML)
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Introductory familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) or strong interest in learning
  • Interest in automation and scripting to reduce manual processing
  • Awareness of error handling and logging concepts
  • Introductory understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and enthusiasm to learn how AI tools support data processing
  • Awareness of responsible AI and ethical data use principles
  • Strong attention to detail and logical thinking for data checks and validation
  • It would be a preference to have experience with Python, and familiarity with Git or other version control systems
  • Ideally, you will have some exposure to data processing, ETL concepts, or large datasets through coursework or projects

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Relevant internships, placements, or equivalent practical experience will also be considered

Responsibilities

Support the development and operation of multi-source data processing pipelines to ensure accurate, consistent, and well-structured data.

  • Assist with collecting data from external and internal sources under guidance
  • Support automated data retrieval and file organisation processes
  • Perform basic data checks for format, structure, and completeness
  • Flag missing or inconsistent data using existing logging and monitoring frameworks
  • Apply predefined transformations and standardisation rules to datasets
  • Support database population activities while maintaining data consistency
  • Assist with basic querying, indexing, and data lookups
  • Help integrate additional data sources into existing workflows
  • Produce required data outputs and exports in standard formats
  • Contribute to documentation and operational support for data pipelines
  • Troubleshoot standard issues with guidance from more senior team members
  • Learn and contribute ideas to continuous improvement initiatives, including future AI-enabled enhancements

Our Data Engineering / Data Processing / Indexation team is responsible for collecting, transforming, and integrating data from multiple external and internal sources.

We contribute to the organisation by:
• ensuring the quality and reliability of the data used across the company
• developing robust and automated systems
• delivering structured data that powers the company’s products and services
