Skills and Competencies
- 15+ years of proven credit and risk assessment experience with strong analytical and leadership skills
- Deep understanding of fund finance sector including key regulatory developments, main players, and key industry drivers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with public speaking experience
- Highly organized and efficient with ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure the quality and consistency of credit analysis for a portfolio of fund finance transactions
- Oversee team workload and deliverables, driving timely execution and accuracy across ratings and research outputs
- Mentor a team of experienced analysts, promote a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, and oversee their professional growth
- Lead new ratings processes on emerging, complex fund structures/leading fund sponsors
- Contribute to the development and refinement of fund finance rating methodologies
- Serve as a primary point of contact for fund sponsors, investors and intermediaries
- Represent the team at industry events and interact with market participants; engage with regulators and industry bodies on developments in the fund finance market

Our Funds and Asset Management team is responsible for delivering high-quality credit ratings and research across North America & enhancing market transparency, supporting investor decision-making, and expanding our brand as a trusted source of credit insight. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in fund finance and asset management & contribute to the adoption of AI tools that improve analytical processes and drive efficiency across our ratings operations.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $231,400.00-$335,500.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
