Skills & Qualifications:
•    1 – 3+ years of professional experience is preferred.
•    Basic knowledge of financial markets.
•    Previous business development, sales & marketing and/or public finance experience is desired.
•    Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
•    Self-motivated, inquisitive, positive energy, professionalism & willingness to learn.
•    Strong time management skills (ability to effectively meet tight deadlines for multiple projects).
•    Must be a team player with excellent attention to detail & organizational skills.
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint with willingness to embrace CoPilot and other AI tools.

 

Education:
•    Minimum of undergraduate degree (or equivalent) preferably in finance, accounting, business, economics or public administration.

 

Responsibilities:
•    Assisting in the delivery of a strategic business development plan to grow business & relationships with municipal bond issuers & intermediaries (financial advisors & investment bankers) in the U.S. Northeast region. 
•    Participate in meetings with issuers & intermediaries to update them on Moody’s Ratings processes & products (including sustainability, cybersecurity & digital finance) to secure new rating mandates & improve Moody’s market position.
•    Preparation of standard customer meeting materials & meeting logistics support, including accurate recording of meeting notes & follow- up items.
•    Attend external & internal conferences, briefings and events to develop key relationships.
•    Assist with monitoring market & customer activities to identify & assess new business opportunities.
•    Responsible for ensuring that the internal database (Salesforce) in relation to customer details is maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
•    Develop relationships with internal stakeholders (including Account Management & analytical team).
•    Assist with Public Finance-specific projects outside of the Northeast region.
•    Willingness to travel 40% of the time.

 

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $93,600.00-$135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
