Title: Senior Credit Associate
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Perform comprehensive analysis to develop qualitative and quantitative assessment of credit risks. Conduct simple statistical scrutiny as well as more sophisticated modelling and estimation work. Perform analysis relating to macroeconomic and/or financial forecasts. Interpret and analyze financial data and other credit inputs. Gather and analyze financial and credit data, prepare charts, update financial models, and prepare required documentation. Identify trends in data and apply analytical skills and judgment to form well-reasoned credit conclusions. Collaborate with ratings teams to develop, build, and maintain analytical tools for financial analysis. Build and maintain databases. Develop and apply a strong working knowledge of credit fundamentals of Moody’s methodologies, frameworks and credit rating best practices. Understand and identify key factors that affect credit ratings. Undertake analysis to support development or assessment of methodologies, models, and other analytical frameworks. Monitor credit industry by following market developments. Identify emerging trends and issues and provide analysis for senior management and publication. Contribute to credit research, including strategy, idea generation, and preparing drafts.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience as an Analyst, Associate, or in a related position supporting credit risk analysis in a financial services firm or credits ratings agency. Must have experience with the following: reviewing financial statements and economic/market data; reviewing research produced on specific issuers, methodologies, general credit trends, or sector related issues; running quantitative models; and working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $76,128 to $135,750/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
