Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience leading and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, People, Technology), and varying levels of complexity, such as process overhauls or financial forecasting model enhancements, ensuring on-time delivery of milestones and adherence to goals.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in system implementations by collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, document workflows, and support alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, lead process mapping sessions and implement operational enhancements through documented workflows.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and familiarity with financial systems architecture; Familiarity in change management techniques for finance organizations; FP&A experience (preferred).
- Ability to analyze data to inform decisions and improve processes, with strong skills in tools like SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Generative AI technologies. Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to improve processes and drive efficiency, coupled with an interest in responsible AI practices.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Management, or related field.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Manager to join Moody's Finance team, supporting Moody’s Analytics and Moody’s Shared Service FP&A and Finance Business Partner teams. This role focuses on business analysis, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and deliver strategic priorities. Combining project management, analytical and strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement, this position is ideal for professionals who excel at addressing complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions. Reporting to the VP of Project Management, the role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities, along with the capacity to influence stakeholders and achieve results.
- Develop and execute roadmaps for FP&A and cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with team objectives and timelines.
- Drive financial initiatives to completion by coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving challenges as they arise.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are met while addressing risks and roadblocks.
- Coordinate team communication by setting agendas, preparing materials for meetings, tracking follow-ups, and supporting larger team events.
- Optimize team calendar scheduling and step in to augment team capacity as needed to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Assess and document current-state processes, propose iterative improvements, and implement workflow enhancements to reduce complexity.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and feedback loops to ensure process changes meet business needs.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and project updates to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Leverage tools like SharePoint, Miro, Excel, PowerPoint, and Generative AI to improve collaboration, streamline deliverables, and enhance communication.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $93,600.00 - $135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
