- 2+ years of experience in software development and engineering within a financial services, ratings, or data-driven technology environment
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with strong front-end development experience using Angular, and demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Experience with web application frameworks, RESTful API design and development, and integration with enterprise systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including deployment, monitoring, and configuration management
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL solutions), including data querying and performance optimization
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle best practices including version control (Git), Agile methodologies, code review processes, and automated testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software features and enhancements across the full technology stack in support of ratings workflow and data systems
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews to ensure continuous delivery and improvement
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code, following established engineering standards and security best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments in a timely manner
- Contribute to the design and optimization of databases, APIs, and integrations that support ratings data processing and reporting
- Support the adoption of emerging technologies and AI-driven capabilities within the team, helping to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and share learnings with team members to build collective expertise across the engineering function
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $95,500.00 - $138,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
