Skills and Competencies 

  • 10+ years of experience in sales or relationship management, preferably within the corporate and/or financial services sectors
  • Experience selling data or solutions related to KYC, Supply Chain, Trade Credit, and MDM is preferred but not necessary
  • Solid demonstrated understanding of the corporate market, industry trends, and business drivers
  • Proven ability to sell with a consultative approach, manage complex sales processes, and influence key decision-makers
  • Entrepreneurial style with a strong sense of drive and urgency, coupled with robust problem-solving, influencing, and networking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, yet integrate appropriately with global sales teams and other business areas
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
  • Fluent English is essential; additional language capabilities would be advantageous

Education

  • Degree educated (or equivalent), preferably in finance, business, or economics. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and grow commercial relationships with Moody’s largest and most strategic global customers in the Americas
  • Develop and execute account commercial strategies and business plans to meet sales target objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for C-Level executives (e.g., CRO, CFO, CCO) to elevate relationships and become a trusted advisor
  • Generate, qualify, and convert new leads through networking, prospecting, and executing sales campaigns
  • Identify and translate client needs into compelling solutions, demonstrating the value and superiority of Moody’s Analytics solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle, executing strong negotiation skills to bring deals to a successful closure
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global colleagues, sales specialists, and product management to ensure client needs are met
  • Provide current sales forecasts and pipeline information to management on a regular basis
  • Make significant and regular travel to and within the territory. 

About the team

The Strategic Accounts sales team covers a list of Moody's Analytics’ largest and most strategic global accounts and is responsible for growing sales for all product offerings in our suite. The team is split across regions and works together with the common objective of growing revenue across these key accounts. 

 

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,000.00 -  $162,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
