Skills and Competencies
- Interest in and understanding of cyber risk landscape
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and written skills
- Strong analytical, quantitative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Marketing and market research experience
- Content creation for publishable and presentable marketing collateral
- Data processing and querying skills using R, Python, SQL or equivalent tools
- Willingness to learn new concepts and technologies
- Basic knowledge of insurance market desirable
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027
- Anticipated Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in data science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, physics, computing or information systems
- Ability to work during program period between June 1 – August 7, 2026
Responsibilities
- Run client and sample data through the Moody’s cyber model
- Utilize and test the cyber modelling applications
- Review and develop product collateral
- Review cyber risk and cyber insurance literature and reports
- Synthesize analysis results and market research into presentation materials, blog posts, and other sales/marketing documents
- Competitive analysis
- Generate comparative reports to quantify model changes
About the Team/Program
Cyber insurance is one of the fastest growing segments in the insurance market due to the rapidly evolving use of technologies, proliferation of malicious threat actors, and dependencies on various technologies.
The cyber product management and product marketing intern will join the cyber model product management to support ongoing activities that align with Moody’s cyber risk modelling initiative. In this role, you will work with the product and model. You will help analyze data within the model and compare to other model results to quantify model change impacts. You will also play a role in testing and using the model which is, itself, evolving. As deliverables, you will help the team develop marketing materials, collateral, and other artificats that will facilitate the adoption of the Moody’s cyber model within the cyber insurance market.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly range for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
