Skills and Competencies
- Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written.
- 2-5 years of experience working in legislative branch of the US government focusing on financial services, banking, and insurance issues.
- Experience doing research and writing in the financial sector, public policy, financial regulation, and related fields.
- Comfortable briefing small groups on public policy developments in DC
- Demonstrated analytical skills, proficient in MS Word, Power Point, and comfortable navigating and learning AI technology.
- Results and action oriented while modelling Moody’s core values: principled, inclusive, collaborative, forward-thinking, and rigorous
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Responsibilities
The Associate will assist the GPRA team by monitoring and analyzing policy and regulatory developments that affect the various businesses within Moody’s Corporation. The associate will work closely with subject matter and regional experts on routine monitoring processes and other projects as requested. The individual will be agile and comfortable working with different team members across the globe on multiple projects and contributing to urgent requests when events require it.
- Monitor and analyzing policy and regulatory developments impacting Moody’s businesses, collaborating with subject matter experts to provide timely insights and updates.
- Support the drafting and development of memos, talking points, presentations, and other communications for senior leaders and internal stakeholders.
- Track and triage relevant news alerts, regulatory releases, and media publications, preparing clear and targeted written updates for internal use.
- Facilitate the adoption and optimisation of technology platforms (such as Agentic AI) to log, monitor, and report stakeholder engagement activities and related metrics.
- Effectively time manage the projects assigned while maintaining a high level of control, quality and consistency for all work product,
- Ensure efficient and effective project delivery through the use of follow-ups, detailed and well thought out scheduling/planning efforts, identification of risks, escalating to manager where necessary,
- Effectively manage multiple projects and urgent requests across global teams, ensuring high-quality, consistent deliverables and proactive risk escalation when necessary.

About the team
Moody’s Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs team (GPRA) is a diverse, global and strategic function reporting directly to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Deploying expertise on government relations, public policy, regulatory analysis and geopolitical issues to inform Moody’s Corporation (MCO) strategy, commercial activities and risk management across existing business but also new products and markets. GPRA works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to protect and advocate for the legislative and regulatory needs of Moody’s and its employees.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $132,600.00 - $192,300.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
