Job Summary:


The Assistant Director, Data Quality will lead efforts to ensure the organization's data integrity, reliability, and usability across multiple systems and domains. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust data quality frameworks, processes, and standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for data management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements gathering, data assessment and analysis, validation, cleaning, governance, documentation, control, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality strategy aligned with organizational goals.

  • Identify critical data assets and define quality standards, metrics, and KPIs for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and reliability.

  • Assess current data quality and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies.

  • Perform root-cause analyses for data quality issues, leveraging statistical methods and data visualization tools.

  • Evaluate the impact of poor data quality on business processes and decision-making.

  • Design and implement automated and manual data validation processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Oversee data cleansing activities, ensuring remediation of errors and inaccuracies in large datasets.

  • Develop workflows for ongoing data quality monitoring and issue resolution.

  • Implement controls to monitor and maintain data quality over time, including automated workflows, alerts, and dashboards.

  • Develop regular reporting mechanisms to communicate data quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve data quality based on analytical findings.

Data Governance & Documentation:

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, processes, and standards across the organization.

  • Collaborate with data stewards, IT, and business units to ensure consistent adherence to governance protocols.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of data quality processes, standards, and tools.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve data quality based on analytical findings.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a quality management/engineering.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in data monitoring and experience in reporting tools (i.e. Alteryx, Python, SQL, MS Fabric, MS PowerBI, MS Excel).

  • Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.

  • Proven experience in working in multi-functional team, data management, preferably within a commercial setting.

  • Strong understanding of data integrity and change management processes.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both business and technical teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $103,800.00 -  $150,600.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
