Skills and Competencies

 

  • You have hands-on experience with SQL and are comfortable querying and analyzing large datasets across relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases
  • You have a strong track record of working with data engineers and navigating complex data infrastructure to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
  • You are experienced in agile methodologies and lead sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive iterative product development
  • You are an effective communicator who bridges technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering alignment across product, engineering, QA, and business teams
  • You are results-oriented and use metrics and client feedback to prioritize work, evaluate impact, and drive continuous improvement
  • You have experience in the finance industry and understand the critical role of data quality, timeliness, and regulatory alignment
  • You are a proactive team member who promotes automation, scalability, and operational efficiency in all aspects of the data product lifecycle

 

 

Role/Responsibilities

 

We are seeking a Data Product Manager to join the MoodyViews product organization within Moody’s Analytics. This role focuses on building scalable and efficient data products that support analytical workflows and enterprise data delivery across Moody’s Analytics. You will be responsible for managing the full data product lifecycle—from ideation to delivery—working closely with data engineers, analysts, QA, business stakeholders, and other product teams to ensure high-quality data solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the delivery of data products, working with cross-functional teams including data engineering, QA, technology, and business strategy
  • Translate business needs into data requirements with a strong focus on data workflows, scalability, and performance
  • Own the data product backlog, prioritizing features, technical tasks, and improvements based on business value, effort, and dependencies
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure accurate understanding of data structure, source systems, and integration logic
  • Actively manage sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives in an agile development environment
  • Ensure that data quality, documentation, lineage, and governance standards are upheld
  • Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and reduce failure points across the data lifecycle
  • Communicate product status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive innovation within the role and across Moody's.

 

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $118,700.00 - $172,250.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
