Skills and Competencies
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage individuals at all levels and adapt communication styles to suit diverse personalities and organizational structures.
• At least 4 years of finance experience in project management, business partnering, strategy, or a similar role, with a proven ability to drive impactful outcomes; experience supporting sales organizations, with familiarity using Salesforce and related tools, is considered a plus.
• Proficient in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data and models to inform decision-making, leveraging visuals, charts, graphs and commentary to best illustrate insights.
• Agile and adaptable, with a results-driven mindset that focuses on achieving end goals while adjusting paths as needed to overcome challenges.
• Strong collaboration skills, capable of working independently, fostering teamwork across departments, and taking ownership of outcomes to see solutions through to completion.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or other quantitative field (e.g. MBA, CFA, CPA/CA, CIMA, ACCA or equiv.) preferred.
Responsibilities
Bridge the gap between finance and business operations, including financial and strategic insights, planning and analysis to drive effective decision-making while fostering a collaborative environment among multiple teams.
• Partner with business teams to model and turn operations into strategic financial plans.
• Build insight reports tracking KPI’s to track performance against those plans.
• Deliver clear, insightful analysis (written and modelled) to support teams, lead and drive effective decision making.
• Partner with operations, product, engineering teams to leverage adjacent tool and KPI’s that drive financial performance to create comprehensive insights.
• Continue to evolve these models and insights through adoption of new and / or emerging technologies to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Report back business insights to central financial, data and analytics teams to build models and monitor key assumptions, and associated insights to business-wide corporate deliverables.
About the team
The Moody’s Business Finance team plays a crucial role in bridging the gaps between finance and business operations, including strategic planning, financial insights and supporting decision-making while fostering a collaborative environment among departments.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $93,600.00 - $135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
