Skills and Competencies

  • 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with both relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL data stores (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Hands-on experience training and deploying machine learning models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, make architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and DevOps practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.

Education

  • A formal degree is not required; we are most interested in your skills, experience, and motivation.

Responsibilities Lead and develop practical AI and automation solutions that fundamentally change how Moody's operates.

  • Lead by example with hands-on development (~50%), writing clean, testable code in Python and TypeScript to build and refactor systems.
  • Drive technical strategy and architecture (~25%), making key design decisions for scalable and robust services and ML solutions.
  • Provide team leadership and mentorship (~25%), overseeing project execution and fostering the growth of other engineers.
  • Collaborate within an agile team to solve complex business problems for some of the world's largest organizations using innovative technology.
  • Embrace a full-stack, hands-on mentality to contribute across the entire product lifecycle.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $140,200.00 - $203,350.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
