Skills and Competencies

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role within a software/services organization, with a successful track record in sales
  • Experience selling solutions to the Insurance, Banking, Fintech, or Asset Management industries is preferred
  • Ability to sell using a needs/solutions-based approach and influence key decision-makers
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions
  • Positive, energetic attitude with a drive to exceed goals and motivation for achieving measurable results
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI 
    systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with a focus on high attention to detail

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related area required; MBA preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain key client relationships, manage a defined book of business, and drive growth through up-selling and cross-selling Moody’s solutions

  • Develop a deep understanding of client decision-making processes, priorities, and requirements
  • Assist with the management of relationships with existing clients, primarily within the Insurance customer segment
  • Develop and execute Account Plans and Strategic Action Plans to build client value, usage, and reliance on Moody's Analytics solutions
  • Meet or exceed established revenue targets while creating and enhancing customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and an up-to-date pipeline in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Relationship Managers and Workflow Specialists to ensure complete client coverage and expertise is leveraged throughout the sales cycle
  • Work with Relationship Managers to capture pricing benchmarks, client workflows, and whitespace analysis in the CRM
  • Represent Moody's at industry and company-sponsored events
  • Travel required for approximately 30-40% of your time

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $93,600.00 -  $135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
