Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our enterprise monitoring infrastructure, ensuring the continuous monitoring of critical resources and services.

  • Administer and maintain enterprise monitoring tools and systems, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of critical systems, applications, and services to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, reports, and alerts to provide real-time visibility into system health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot monitoring issues, identify root causes, and participate in incident response activities to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define monitoring objectives and conduct regular audits of configurations to ensure effectiveness.
  • Document monitoring procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and provide training for team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in monitoring to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience as a Monitoring Tech Support Analyst or similar role in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools such as BMC Helix, DataDog, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in system administration tasks on Linux, Windows, and/or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS, Microsoft) are preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Our Enterprise Monitoring team is responsible for ensuring the health, performance, and availability of Moody's critical IT infrastructure and services. We contribute by providing real-time visibility into system health, minimizing service disruptions through proactive monitoring, and driving operational excellence.
