Skills and Competencies

- Minimum fifteen years’ experience in the fixed income and related markets serving or supporting customers including negotiations; direct customer interaction experience preferred. Working experience within a regulated environment is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
Responsibilities
As head of the Pricing Desk, this role is responsible for enhancing price realization and maximizing total revenues for Moody's Ratings in current and future years.
- Distill customer and intermediary feedback, market-based information and intelligence, marketing materials and value proposition into talking points that support RM pricing negotiations and related training.
- Capture best practice and successful tactics in positioning pricing and negotiation from across the regions, and partner with the Sales Enablement Team to enhance already existing and build new pricing negotiations training modules and deliver that to RM’s.
- Partner with Heads of Regional RM management to tailor region/sector segment talking points on negotiations.
- Support RM’s in formulating deal specific proposals for high profile and non-standard situations. Reviews and endorses or provide alternative proposals.
- Serve as a voting member on the Pricing Approvals Committee, which has the global responsibility to consider and potentially approve pricing exception requests above a certain financial threshold.
- Build, implement and monitor pricing negotiations KPIs for RMs. Working with the Data Team to design a dashboard for RMs so that they can understand how they perform in their portfolio and track the level of price realization (and thus discount) in their portfolio over time.
- Works with the Commercial Senior Leadership Team to determine negotiation targets by market segments, balancing the tradeoffs between revenue and coverage goals.
- Provides observations and input to the Pricing Strategy team for price setting purpose in compliance with law and regulation.
