Skills and Competencies
Required
- Basic level prompt writing - good awareness and experience of using generative AI with ability to write basic prompts
- Attention to detail - Products and processes require precision to ensure that risks are controlled
- Focus - as a part of any of the projects assigned there will either be repetitive tasks or detailed information gathering. This requires focus on the task and a drive to get to the desired outcome within agreed deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - projects will require updates and recommendations. Clear, precise use of English language is a must
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, review, and interpret data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Critical thinker - questions why, seeks root causes
- Availability from the 16 of June until the 22 of August 2025
Helpful
- Awareness of financial markets, how they operate and key market participant types. In particular, knowledge and interest around debt markets
- Experience in managing a project
- Basic understanding of legal principles
Education
- Penultimate or final year Bachelor student
- Preferably strong A levels or equivalent that include science or mathematics
Responsibilities
Overview: The Commercial Product Management Assistant will support Product Managers within the team by completing specific tasks that are part of larger projects and by taking ownership and delivering smaller projects.
The role holder will gain a good overview of the role of a Commercial Product Manager and a deeper understanding of the commercial products offered by Moody's Ratings. This experience will provide valuable insights into how these products meet customer needs and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Product Managers with various tasks related to larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Take ownership of smaller projects, managing them from inception to delivery.
- Undertake data collection and data review to support product/process development and enhancement.
- Report on results and findings from data analysis, providing actionable insights.
- Conduct competitor analysis reviews around specific products or features to inform strategic decisions.
- Support the review of controls and documentation applied to processes owned by the team, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the role of a Commercial Product Manager through hands-on experience and completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Complete tasks as part of a wider data migration project
About the team
The Commercial Product Management team at Moody's Ratings focuses on expanding Moody's franchise through new and enhanced commercial products. It is a global team and manages products through the product life cycle i.e. ideation, inception, feasibility, development and testing, implementation, launch, review, withdrawal. The team also owns some processes with associated Process Owners responsibilities.
