Title: Staff Software Engineer

Location: 405 Howard Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105

Duties: Maintain high code quality and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver compelling products and services. Integrate and ship code in cloud environment. Modify existing software to correct errors and allow it to adopt to new hardware and improve performance. Drive adoption of new technology to build optimal products. Work closely with Product and UX teams to design, build, test and deploy dynamic client facing website that will host our data assets with analytical and charting feature. Define the architecture of modern tools and runtime for operating code such as AWS, Docker. Work directly with product to deliver product in collaborative and agile environment. Confer with system analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design the system and to obtain information on project limitation and capability, performance requirement and interfaces. Follow Engineering Excellence practices of unit testing, separation of concerns and other design best practices to build reusable and maintainable UI and backend component. Improve and refractor existing web application and API services. Responsible for the software development life cycle of projects including designing, developing, testing, implementation of various client/server architectures and quality assurance of enterprise applications. Customize existing business applications and prepare deploy-able enterprise application. Perform real-time application deployment in a distributed environment.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as an Engineer, Developer, Technical Associate/Consultant, or related technical position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have
experience with following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; Experience with Azure/AWS Cloud Products, Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, REST, JMS, JDBC, SQL/PL SQL, DB2, Postgres, Node.js, MongoDB, XML, Unix, Shell, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Angular, Ajax, Eclipse, and automated testing tools, including Junit, Jasmin and protractor and using build tools and version control systems, including Maven, GIT, and Subversion.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $206,315 - $236,550/yr depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
