Skills and Competencies

  • 3-10 years of relevant work experience within sourcing or an applicable role
  • Ability to perform trend analysis, forecasting and modeling based on various data sources in order to tell a story providing strategic recommendations
  • Software or Technology specific experience preferred
  • Experience working within a global organization
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills in order to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Ability to summarize information effectively
  • Experience with reviewing and negotiating technology contract terms
  • Excellent organizational skills to multi task and prioritize projects
  • Ability to work autonomously while keeping management apprised of projects and initiatives

Education

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business (or equivalent) from an accredited college/university
  • CPM certification is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

The Senior Sourcing Specialist supports the overall goals of the Procurement & Sourcing Group (PSG) with a specific focus on software. The role assumes global category lead responsibilities for hosted and non-hosted software providers.

  • Analyze software spend to create sourcing and negotiation strategies alongside internal business partners
  • Draft and conduct RFP’s, RFI’s, vendor selection and negotiations with key software suppliers on an ongoing basis
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and at times manage SLA’s and specific supplier performance characteristics
  • Consistently focus on continuous improvement and process change
  • Ability to write concise summary’s that convey different types of information to various levels of leadership
  • Work with 3rd party benchmark providers to validate pricing proposals and utilize the information to negotiate competitive purchase agreements
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders with constant focus on the customer and their evolving needs
  • Understand and report savings metrics to help contribute to department wide objectives.
