Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a diverse, global and cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
  • Prior experience working with senior leaders in a functional or strategic capacity
  • An ability to understand business operations from the top level down and bottom-up structured thinking to understand the multi-dimensional nature of the business e.g., corporate, region, business unit, site, functions, interdependencies, and critical processes.
  • Experience on managing live crisis events, impacting loss of people / loss of IT systems / loss of third parties / loss of sites
  • Strong people management capabilities are essential for management of direct reports team and matrix management to deliver objectives without direct authority.
  • Experience of managing integration of acquired companies would be beneficial
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, training, and reporting.

  • A demonstrated focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Fusion Risk Management Software & Onsolve Send Word Now or other emergency alerting software would be beneficial

Additional Information:

  • This role requires a high level of vigilance and the ability to make quick decisions in time-sensitive situations.
  • The Regional Crisis Manager will be part of a larger Global Business Resilience team working closely together and will receive ongoing mentoring, support and training.
  • High level of proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to create reports in PowerBI desirable but training will be available. Knowledge of monitoring tools & Crisis Management software (currently using Fusion Risk Management) would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to the broader CRR department will offer insight into a range of risk topics.

Education

Bachelor’s degree / Undergraduate degree / Graduate degree and/or relevant professional experience within Resilience

Fluency in English is essential

10 years + Previous experience in Business Continuity / Operational Resilience / Crisis Management

Professional certification (BCI, DRI) in business continuity management a plus

Responsibilities

The Crisis Regional Manager will report to the AVP - Business Resilience Manager. The position is responsible for the management of a 2 / 3 Analysts (Crisis Operations Team) who in turn are responsible for monitoring and responding to crisis situations in real-time.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Proactive: Horizon scan for potential events that may impact MCO and provide advice and escalate as appropriate.
  • Reactive: Point of escalation to support Crisis Operations & Business Crisis Management Teams in responding to crisis situations in real-time.
  • Lifecycle & Project Planning: Delivering the Crisis Management program across MCO. This includes managing the lifecycle of review and approval of the Crisis Management Plans, Emergency Response Plans & Hazard assessments in line with the Business Resilience prioritization and impact tolerance.
  • Documentation: Maintenance and review of the Business Resilience Governance and Program Management.
  • Reporting: Maintain variety of reports from project completion tracking, location status, contributions to the Key Risk Indicators and Corporate Score Cards.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training to Business Management and designated roles, supports program testing and exercising, provides effective challenge of plans and processes at regular intervals and raises global awareness.
  • Collaboration: The position will work with the various areas within Risk Management groups and partnering with Technology, People, Procurement, Facilities, Corporate Security, Legal and Compliance to meet this objective.
  • Managing Resources: Provide constructive coaching and guidance to managed staff and allocate resources effectively based on business priorities and broader department objectives.
  • Systems: Own the management and deployment of Crisis Management & Incident Management applications within Fusion Risk Management Software & Emergency Notification System to drive visibility, efficiency for the Crisis Management teams

Out of hours and weekend support will be required to support significant Crisis events.
