Senior Financial Data Analysts (FDAs) in Corporate Finance Group (CFG) contribute towards the financial analysis part of the rating process, which is significant to the rating process. Senior FDAs use accounting and finance knowledge and judgment to perform financial statement analysis, adjust issuer reported data per relevant methodology requirements and review and analyze ratios.
The position provides a unique opportunity to foster skills in the financial services industry. Those skills are regularly reinforced via various forms of training and knowledge sharing by analysts.


Skills and Competencies

  • Must have 1-3 years analyzing accounting and/or financial statements
  • Must be fluent in English and either Italian/Spanish or Ukrainian language
  • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment


Education

Must have a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics


Responsibilities

  • Supporting Analysts by delivering accurate, timely, and consistent financial data in line with the Moody’s methodologies for Corporate Finance and Infrastructure Lines of Business
  • Reviewing and understanding financial statements, official statements and other documents related to issuers’ performance in collaboration with analysts and accounting specialists
  • Creating documentation and providing guidance to support analysts and outsourcers
  • Reviewing, adjusting and publishing data to be used by analytical teams and external market participants
  • Senior FDAs work and have the opportunity to lead technology projects, accounting changes, analytic reviews, methodology updates and implementation of process improvements


About the Team
The Data & Analytics (D&A) team consists of a diverse set of Financial Data Analysts (FDAs) supporting Corporate Finance, Banking, Insurance, Sovereign, Public Finance and Structured Finance Lines of Business. The teams are located in Vilnius, London, Frankfurt, New York, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Bangalore and Tokyo in order to support Analysts based in EMEA, the AMERICAS and ASIA PACIFIC.

Annual base salary gross: 25,600 EUR to 40,800 EUR. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
