Skills and Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Proficient in full-stack development, including UI and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks (Retool, React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
• Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Experience with service-based architectures, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP).
• Skilled in build and deployment tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).
• Knowledge of unit testing and usability testing practices.
• Experience in banking or financial data domains is a plus.

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from top institutions. Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and UI applications to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to build scalable and performant solutions.
• Develop backend APIs and Lambda functions to support UI functionalities.
• Optimize user interfaces for speed, scalability, and accessibility.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback.
• Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and third-party tools.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Support build, deployment, and maintenance tasks using GitHub and CI/CD tools.
• Ensure compliance with software development standards and security protocols.

About the Team

The Data Estate engineering team is transitioning from “Data at Rest” to “Data in Motion” using event-driven architecture and NoSQL technologies. The team is focused on building scalable internal tools that improve data quality and empower stakeholders.
