Internal Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will be a core member of a BAU team, providing key support for application by taking ownership of the functional areas. We practice an agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development. You will be a part of BAU team of client-facing software applications, helping in improving and creating new features and configurations. You will create value for clients by implementing enhanced changes. You bring not only strong experience, but also a passion for translating those skills into business impact for our customers. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide expert level advice on multiple technologies across projects ·
  • Develop tools and processes to support KYC services and management of client data. ·
  • Interpret business requirements for a Business Mission/Epic with the assistance of Business Analysts. ·
  • Provide feedback on requirements from a technical perspective and provide estimates for user stories and tasks.
  • ·Author technical design documents. ·
  • Take ownership of stories; Implement and test features based on the requirements. ·
  • Refactor design and implementation for stories owned, based on requirement changes. ·
  • Define and maintain coding standards and guide team members to comply with these standards. ·
  • Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to fix defects. ·
  • Investigate and find the root cause for software problems reported by clients. ·
  • Assist with client onboarding and troubleshoot periodic data issues. ·
  • Develop tools to automate frequent manual tasks. ·
  • Maintain technical documents. ·
  • Review code of less senior team members, provide guidance from technical perspective. ·
  • Work with more senior team members to continuously improve our engineering practices. ·
  • Conduct training sessions and proactively share knowledge in or across teams.

Qualifications -

  • Ability to develop software in Java, and SQL programming languages with frameworks.
  • Experience with one of the main cloud providers (GCP / AWS / Azure) would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture for standard API development.
  • Ability to understand and support complex BAU (L3 support) system and to maintain implementable configuration.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing (Junit), code reviews, and automated testing frameworks like Cucumber, Selenium and Postman
  • Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure
  • Experience with build systems, CI/CD tools (like DevOps, Jenkins), application analytics/monitoring
  • Experience with git and github repositories
  • · Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, debugging and root cause analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product engineers. Product owners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Review tech deliverables of the team and guide/coach team on best practices
  • Experience working on a collaborative product team passionate about Agile software processes, data-driven development, and experimentation
