Skills and Competencies
5+ years’ expert level experience managing and configuring Windows Servers (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022)
Knowledge of core infrastructure components such as DHCP, DNS, and Certificates.
Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation.
Familiarity with server imaging and configuration management tools.
Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and eventually Ansible.
Experience investigating complex issues and performing corrective actions, proven track record in major incident recovery.
Highly impactful problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with incident and change ITIL processes using ServiceNow or similar tool
Customer focused & solutions driven
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired - Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.
Desired - Experience with Vulnerability remediation like Qualys is a plus.
Education
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration, CompTIA Server+, or similar are preferred.
Responsibilities
Systems Administration: Manage Incidents, Standard Changes and Service Requests using ServiceNow effectively and meet/exceeds service level expectations.
Participate in on-call rotation, weekend support and provide after-hours support as scheduled in the shift roster
Shows up as the Windows expert, lead service recovery and mitigation when major incidents occur. Identify root cause and implement permanent solutions.
Manage and maintain MCO wide Windows Server footprint, both on-premise and in the cloud, ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Administer core infrastructure components such as DHCP, DNS, and Certificates to support our internal and external services.
Server Build: Build and configure Windows Servers according to the organization's standards and requirements, work diligently with the hypervisor team to resolve any challenge.
Patch Management: Contribute to patching and vulnerability remediation processes to maintain system security and compliance.
Vulnerability Remediation: identify vulnerabilities using Qualys and remediate them with with the engineering team.
Operating System Templates & Standards: Build and maintain up-to-date server images, ensuring they align with organizational standards and best practices.
Project Deliverables: Work closely with the engineering teams to ensure deliverables are met on-time and to the highest standard.
Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
Conduct regular system audits and security assessments.
Provide technical support and guidance to users.
Develop and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures including SoPs
Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure applications and infrastructure meet key operational security metrics.
Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of automation and orchestration.
Interaction across TSG towers and other business support areas for problem escalations, resolutions, reporting and coordination.
