Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated experience advising on conflict of interest matters within a regulatory or compliance environment.
- Strong analytical and judgment skills with the ability to challenge business partners constructively.
- Ability to analyze current processes and workflows and make substantive suggestions for improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting policy guidance and regulatory responses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (charts, graphs, VLookUps), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Power BI is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
You will support the Conflicts Officer in implementing Moody’s global conflicts of interest program, partnering with business leaders to identify and mitigate regulatory and reputational risks, and contributing to policy development, disclosure processes, and system enhancements with sound judgment and analytical rigor.
- Review and assess employee disclosures related to gifts, entertainment, political contributions, and outside interests.
- Provide guidance to employees on disclosure requirements under relevant policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with compliance subject matter experts and local officers to review and update policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Draft and distribute compliance communications related to conflicts of interest.
- Assist in preparing responses to regulatory and internal stakeholder inquiries.
- Maintain and execute standard operating procedures for conflicts program processes.
- Partner with the Compliance Technology team to test and enhance disclosure and approval systems.
- Support compliance reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory bodies.
