Skills and Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C# etc.)
  • Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Python etc.
  • Production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud native architecture
  • Production experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Support and mentor other engineers on best practices, architecture, and quality

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer - DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions, automating processes, and collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our software development lifecycle and ensuring the highest level of service quality for clients & stakeholders.

  • Automation and processes required to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor internal, product, and cloud-based applications through infrastructure as code.
  • Coordination with development teams to facilitate experimentation along with functional and load-testing of applications.
  • Creation and management of build and deploy workflow processes related to product development and testing.
  • Management and support of infrastructure and development applications including continuous integration, source code management, and hosted applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Active participation in high level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements, conducting tool evaluations, and researching new technologies to stay current with industry trends and advancement in DevOps.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure successful delivery and implementation of assigned tasks. Liaison with next level management.
  • Assist in the coordination of activities of less experienced DevOps team members

Meeting security compliance standards and achieving certification in audits further underscores the team's commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring the platform's reliability and security.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $123,100.00 - $178,450.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
