QA Engineer- API + UI

We're expanding our team at Moody's, the leading data analytics company globally, to work on a cutting-edge data streaming pipeline that processes large company datasets. Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with our data engineering team to enhance test coverage. Your responsibilities extend to improving or creating new test frameworks and data utilities.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a candidate to play an integral part in our data pipeline modernization program within the department. We are seeking a highly-skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong knowledge of API, UI and automation testing to join our Orbis Integration team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience in API, UI and automation testing and be adept at creating, implementing, and managing tests to ensure product quality and will have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Testing Back End APIs and comparing the results to Front end Application
Reviewing User stories and create test scenarios
Creating and executing test cases using Xray in JIRA and report test results
Reporting bugs in JIRA and following defect management procedures
Retesting and ensuring quality is maintained in the sprint
Performing Regression testing and reporting result
Creating automated tests for UI testing
Verifying that the final product meets the requirements and work with the team to suggest improvements
Qualifications:

Required:

Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree).
Experience of REST API testing with Postman
Experience in web UI testing
Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, XRAY)
Experience with Playwright with Typescript
Ability to work independently and as part of an agile sprints in a fast-paced environment.
Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines in globally distributed teams.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
Critical thinking skills for thorough analysis of system requirements and test scenarios.

Preferred:

Experience in testing data pipelines (ETL, data warehouse)
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Experience in testing AWS Cloud applications
