Solutions Specialist, RMS

A Moody’s Analytics Solutions Specialist interprets and defines customer needs to align the client’s objectives and business requirements with Moody's Analytics products’ capabilities and value. This responsibility is accomplished by conducting live product demonstrations via web-based meetings, in-person meetings, and through providing collateral to support sales strategies.

Working in conjunction with a frontline sales team, the Solutions Specialist will actively manage the evaluation stage of the sales process for Moody’s RMS products including demos, proof of concepts and trial support.

The RMS Solutions Specialist are experts in their domain, with a deep understanding of the market, client needs, and RMS offerings. They provide technical risk management solutions support to the sales team and help progress and close opportunities with existing clients and prospects. They can articulate to customers how RMS products and services can help them address their desired business outcomes. They also play a key role teaming with product management to provide market and client feedback.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand prevailing trends and best practices in Insurance Risk Management and Cat Modeling.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in implementing cloud solutions with insurers.
  • Assist frontline sales reps in understanding market opportunities and qualifying potential leads for Moody’s RMS products.
  • Articulate and conduct in-depth product feature benefit discussions as they relate to Moody's Analytics RMS product offerings.
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to align strategies and determine business and methodological requirements that will be used in providing solutions.
  • Gain customer acceptance of Moody’s Analytics products by explaining and/or demonstrating how RMS products can be integrated into existing solutions.
  • Work closely with the frontline sales team on proposals, Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) responses.
  • Lead integration components of POC’s of RMS Products from start to successful completion and ensure a smooth handover to the customer success team for implementation after contract signature.
  • Document market feedback regarding product experience and desired enhancements and ensure product management understands it.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Economics or Actuarial Science
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in insurance and Cat Modeling
  • In depth hands on experience with Risklink or Risk Modeler
  • Deep expertise in cloud computing is a plus
  • Strong data and data integration experience
  • Experience working with REST APIs is a plus
  • Strategic, analytical, operations-focused, able to recognize market opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to listen to requirements and business problems to respond with the appropriate business answer.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a structured and rigorous team environment.
  • Public speaking experience or internal lead on training within an organization is a plus.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles is a plus.
  • Hands on experience using Moody’s RMS products (Risklink or Risk Modeler)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$117,200.00 - [[$180,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
