Role/Responsibilities
A Manager works closely with a Senior Manager/Assistant Vice President to manage a group of Associates working in the GMO to ensure data consistency and accuracy of information processed across the group. This role will involve regular liaison with the following departments when working on related performance enhancing projects: Information Technology, Commercial Group, Rating Groups, Legal, Compliance, Credit and Regulatory Team and Data Governance. This includes:
- Liaise with Rating Analysts, MD's and other stakeholders on a regular basis to build relationships and open lines of communications.
- Secondary escalation point for problem resolution
- Manage staff with operating tasks, project and problem analysis, effectively communicate with management and adhere to company’s policies and procedures.
- Understand, apply and timely implement legal, compliance, and credit policies, practices, and procedures and their relative changes into the current workflow.
- Mentor and develop the team members while providing on-going support to a senior manager (this may include Senior Manager/Assistant Vice President/Vice President/Senior Vice President)
- Supervision of the team with accountability for quality assurance by reviewing data discrepancy reports, documenting, tracking and resolution
- Monitor established training initiatives this includes ensuring completeness and accuracy of training initiatives and review process.
- Ensure timely execution on daily requests and inquiries
- Proactively recommend and implement processes, enhance operational efficiency, distribution strategies and guidelines for the team on an as needed basis focusing on quality of service, increased efficiency and motivation for the team.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely updates of process documentation and user manuals as needed.
- Coordinate large regional operations (for example large and/or complex rating actions) releases across internal GMO Departments
- Ensure the timely completion of 2 performance feedback reviews (mid-year and annual performance feedback).
- Resource Management: ensures adequate management of absence requests, proper and adequate resource coverage of all responsibilities (specifically during vacation days, sick days, and other contingencies.) Additionally, ensure Business Continuity Plans are adequate and current. Partner with Human Resources to address employee related matters
- Actively participate in team meeting discussions and identifying issues of importance for the team.
- Establish reporting and tracking of team’s performance (focusing on both the quality and quantity on processed transactions) and overall team efficiency by providing timely and continuous feedback on performance to direct reports.
- Develop reporting to provide adequate transparency around specified and/or designated initiatives
- Where appropriate, develop and prepare presentations for the analytical community outlining enhancements, current responsibilities and future enhancements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (E.g. Bachelor’s degree) ideally within the financial discipline
- Masters degree preferred
- 4+ years of relevant work experience. Requires previous management or supervisory experience
- Requires prior financial services or financial data/process management experience with a proven track record in operational effectiveness
- Strategic and tactical management skills with the ability to mentor and build high performance teams
- Ability to dissect and understand complex problems and build consensus around practical solutions across organizational departments.
- Clear written communication skills with an ability to communicate complex business concepts to a senior audience.
- Excellent communicator, articulate and well presented, must be able to communicate with varying levels of seniority within the organization and be able to interface with all levels of business.
- Flexible schedule to work beyond normal business hours to resolve priority issues.
- Must be a strong self-starter and able to be a driving force to execute on initiatives with minimal supervision
- Must be able to consensus build across an organization to move forward initiatives
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is critical
- Highly organized, efficient and resourceful
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.)
- A strong client focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and assume customer satisfaction.

Annual base salary gross: [[31,700 to [[45,950. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
