The Role / Summary:

You’d be joining a team of 40 researchers dedicated to collecting, organizing and verifying commercial real estate data. This position is integral in shaping our research processes and managing data integrity. Specifically, you will lead the data collection and CRE Researchers with an eye for quality and productivity through impactful training, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and delegation. You will also monitor, manage and appropriately strategize ways to ensure continuous improvement within the data collection process.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee market research and data collection in your assigned research sub-region.
  • Manage day to day operations of Research department, including assisting in hiring, training, managing and mentoring Research staff and contract workers, and researched data products. Manage Researcher and vendor workload, tasks and customer requests.
  • Audit researched information and communications for quality and accuracy.
  • Become expert on internal tools, including the research database platform, contacts management, quality control tools, etc. Master the client platform, and how the information acts between the systems.
  • Develop processes for quarterly market reports. Determine best practices for collecting and organizing statistics, coordinate with key contacts within the industry, and produce quarterly statistics and reports.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives liaising with other departments as needed to improve workflow and create efficiencies as well as leading trainings and communication plans for new processes and initiatives.
  • Build an engaged team that takes pride in producing accurate and error free work.

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in real estate industry, with familiarity of market research and data management. Management experience and the ability to lead a team preferred.
  • College degree in business, economics, real estate, computer science or related field preferred.
  • Command of commercial real estate industry, and how the industry interacts with data.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and common sense.
  • Experience working with Commercial Real Estate data in some capacity, whether it be heavily utilizing a subscription data provider, or collecting and organizing data internally.
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely while effectively communicating with a team.
  • Some travel (<5% of time) may be required.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $56,000 - $ 65,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
