Senior Software Engineer (ServiceNow Development Lead) - New York - 9975BR

Roles/Responsibilities:

Moody’s IT is looking for an Assistant Vice President/Senior Software Engineer – ServiceNow Development to join its growing organization. This is a challenging position requiring a strong development and design background in ServiceNow. A good understanding of IT Service Management and related disciplines is also required. The candidate must be technically proficient, able to multi-task well, explain solutions clearly, is well organized, and has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

As part of Moody’s IT, the Moody’s IT Enterprise Business Services group is globally responsible for delivering continuous enhancements and operational support to Moody’s dedicated ServiceNow platform. Working closely with Moody’s IT Service Management (ITSM), the team delivers enhancements in an agile manner, working in sprints and regular release cycles. The combined team sets the direction for continuous improvement in service delivery by working with stakeholders to deliver improved automation, service management processes and end user experience. The team is also focused on ensuring program and project delivery commitments are met with minimal defects and that the ServiceNow platform remains operationally stable.

Functional Responsibilities

· Build strong working relationships with both IT and business partners, establishing working groups and workshops with key IT stakeholders and vendors as required
· Provides design leadership: responsible for the architecture, design, development and implementation of enhancements on Moody’s ServiceNow platform
· Work closely with business analysts and process owners to finalize designs for ServiceNow modules including: request, incident, problem, configuration, change, release, governance risk & compliance, auto-discovery, human resources, asset and project.
· Delivers practical designs, leveraging out-of-box features as much as possible
· Develops complete and functional workflows, screens and scripted business rules against requirements
· Accountable for regular code reviews for his/her team, ensuring proper coding, conformance to standards and best practices, including performance, security, reliability, scalability, extensibility and quality standards
· Leads development efforts on the platform. Leads daily SCRUM calls. Attends regular SCRUM ceremonies: backlog grooming, release planning, and sprint planning.

Qualifications

Minimum education and work experience required for this position include:

· 7-9 years of experience in IT industry, preferably in a financial services or consulting organization
· BS or BA degree, preferably in technology/business preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered
· Strong development experience using JavaScript, Angular JS and other SaaS technologies such as REST and SOAP
· Proficient in JavaScript, AngularJS, XHTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, SQL
· Experience in documentation and agreement of solution architectures for ServiceNow
· Experience in ServiceNow development as it relates to core ITSM modules such as request or incident management required
· Experience in developing ServiceNow IT GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) and other non-ITSM modules a plus
· Experience in designing and developing integrations between ServiceNow and other systems a plus
· Experience in developing auto-discovery probes and sensors a plus
· ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent experience required
· Familiarity with the following platforms are a plus: vRealize Automation, CA Nolio Release Automation, SAP Success Factors, Flexera, CONTROL-M, Manage Engine, SCCM, and SCOM.
