This is an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in development of Moody’s Analytics’ market leading Capital & ERM Solutions for insurance companies. Our current offerings are used by a range of insurers globally.
The role would suit candidates who have strong actuarial skills and knowledge of capital modelling, business projections and/or ALM/ESG modelling experience.
As Product Analyst, you will report to the product manager. The main focus of this position is to support the delivery of high quality software products to our clients. The candidate will be required to support the development lifecycle from development of business requirements and product testing to ensure that the business requirements have been delivered as expected.
The role involves liaising between the advisory services team (incl. directly with customers), engineering team, project management and any other relevant stakeholders. In particular, it can involve travel between our key offices, including Edinburgh & Grenoble offices.
Developing clear and concise business requirements that can be communicated to the engineering teams.
Be involved in the day-to-day interactions (e.g. scrum) with the engineering teams, working closely to ensure the alignment of business requirements with user stories etc. being captured in Rally.
Supporting Product Manager in building long term product backlog based on internal and external requirements and developing product roadmaps.
Develop test plans and test harnesses to test that the business requirements have been delivered as per original specification
Update and/or review product documentation required for release (release notes, user guides etc.)
- Assist with support calls that involve product management issues.
- Follow ERS Insurance product management processes.
A good first degree in a numerical discipline, for example: mathematics, physics, engineering, actuarial science or finance.
In addition, the candidate should have either:
Progress towards a relevant professional qualification such as Actuarial, CFA or similar
A post-graduate (MSc or PhD) qualification in a numerical discipline
The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and experience in capital and projections modelling (e.g. Internal Model and Standard Formula calculations, ORSA, Business Planning, Regulatory Reporting etc.)
Insurance experience in relation to financial and actuarial techniques (Capital/ ALM/ESG etc.).
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- The ideal candidate would have experience writing business requirements and testing actuarial/financial software.
- Good communication and writing skills.
