Senior Director - Strategic Programs - London | New York | San Francisco - 9672BR

This role takes the overall responsibility for the coordination and completion of product and software development projects. Additionally, this role is responsible for providing oversight of the global ERS Program portfolio.
  • Support executive decision making across ERS by creating visibility into the status of various projects in order to answer key questions such as: Are we reducing time to market? Is the cost of product development increasing or decreasing? Is our quality improving? Are we spending more time on implementation projects or less?
  • Support the construction & delivery of the ERS Technology Strategy through active participation in the ERS executive Technology strategy team
  • Mentor and coach the Program, Project / Iteration Manager and Agile Teams across ERS.
  • Support the Program Management teams in their mission to consistently deliver assigned software development projects whilst meeting the required specification and quality goals.
  • Support the Engineering, Product & QA teams in their mission to drive quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Promote investigation, coordination and application of new technologies and industry trends and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Help structure product development plans to minimize dependencies across locations.
  • Lead large scale Agile program management and development. Promote continuous improvement of Agile development teams.

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) required, graduate / second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of related experience.
  • Experience leading teams to deliver on customer projects successfully
  • Thorough knowledge of software development processes – especially Agile practices – is essential.
  • Experience with Product Management/Development
  • Experience managing cross-function teams and change programs essential
  • Detail-oriented disposition and clear, concise communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the technologies used in software development
  • Knowledge of applied mathematics, finance and credit risk.
  • Excellent influence and leadership skills to foster teamwork.
