Manager, Relationship Management (Sales Support) - London - 9290BR

The Role / Responsibilities:

Service focused sales support professional responsible for assisting the Southern Europe Relationship Management (RM) team, with primary focus on Spain and Portugal. The Sales Support functions work closely with experienced Sales Professionals supporting their activity to establish, maintain and manage rating relationships, with the goal of increasing market coverage and revenues in the region. The position may manage a specific portfolio of issuers under the responsibility and supervision of the HoRM-SE,and involve project management for some of the region’s initiatives.

Scope:
  • Will be part of a team that provides crucial sales support to ensure premium delivery of customer service.
  • Works autonomously with limited supervision from HoRM-SE and others in the RMs team.
  • Support the RM team in defining and revising individual account strategic plans on key elements such as outreach, issuance coverage, revenue enhancement, as well as periodic portfolio reviews for the region.
  • Assist RM team in managing prospects and existing relationships through their life-cycle.
  • Assist RM team with scheduling and preparing for meetings for prospective and existing issuers including compiling targeted presentation material, collateral and support post meeting follow-up
  • Provide support for event/conference planning including pre-conference preparation.
  • Strict adherence to tracking client relationship interactions in Salesforce
  • Responsible for generating complex reports and queries in Salesforce and overall data quality accuracy and completeness in Salesforce.
  • Manage the end to end process to respond to Request for Proposals/Tenders, including the collection of data and document from various internal stakeholders, including the Analytical Teams, Legal, Finance, etc. Draft responses for Request For Proposals/Tender; manage deadlines and inputs throughout the entire process, including submission logistics.
  • Support the senior members of the team in monitoring market development and trends including market analysis, intelligence and coverage information. Manage lead generation; assist in identifying targets and cross selling opportunities
  • Actively contribute on projects, regulatory tasks, marketing campaigns, and provide support on approval for product assessments
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders e.g. legal, accounts receivable, compliance functions, etc. to resolve any billing or contractual issues
  • Will attend select client and intermediary meetings together with senior RM staff; willingness to travel as required
  • May be responsible to on-board Associate staff and where appropriate provide guidance on day-to-day tasks
  • May be required to support other than their usual territory on an ad-hoc basis

The primary function of the Relationship Management department is the establishment, maintenance and management of rating relationships throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, strong writing and time management skills
  • Well versed in PowerPoint and able to produce good quality promotional material (presentations, pre-meeting fact sheets etc.)
  • Knowledge of MS Office pack; SalesForce system advantage
  • Understand key financial instruments, characteristics and dynamics of capital and credit markets in the region
  • Able to read financial statements to identify financial needs and understand the financial strategy of each firm/institution
  • Excellent understanding of Moody’s services and products, contracts and general conduct of business
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Highly organised with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work effectively with a geographically diverse and multi-cultural team
  • Team player

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Undergraduate / First Level degree (or equivalent) preferably in finance, accounting, business or economics.
  • Experience in the financial services industry in a business development, sales or client relationship role.
  • Demonstrate solid working knowledge of Capital Markets and is able to consistently apply knowledge to their existing role
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is essential
