Moody’s RE-IGNITE is a 16-week paid full-time opportunity designed for individuals wishing to re-enter the workforce after a minimum two-year hiatus. Through this initiative, we hope to find passionate and dedicated professionals who want to resume their career, hone their individual skills and flourish in their professional journey.

RE-IGNITERS may initially join Moody’s for a 16-week duration, with the goal that they will become permanent employees after successfully completing their temporary assignment, or they may be hired as a permanent employee from day one under our supported hiring model. In either approach, during the initial 16 weeks, in addition to the work associated with their role, RE-IGNITERS receive coaching & mentoring, leadership development, networking opportunities, and guidance on trainings that could support them in their re-entry.

Job Description

As a product analyst, you will be a core member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and executing on a vision for how to grow the KYC/KYS business monumentally through new product innovation. We practice an agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development that aims to bring new products to market in 9-12 months.

You will be responsible for ensuring the development team builds new analytic solutions aligned to customer needs, wants, and desires. Your creative and practical thinking allows you to translate business requirement into direct improvements in the customer experience. You will partner with product owners, designers, user researchers, and technologists to execute a clear product vision that is consistent with our aspirations to create ground-breaking new products that will set new standards in the KYC/KYS space.

Specifically, you will:
  • Collaborate with product owners to shape end-to-end product strategy
  • Conduct feature and theme-based market research with clients
  • Develop user archetypes and build dashboards to demonstrate their usage patterns
  • Capture and document user stories and acceptance criteria, use cases, and workflows
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drive user stories
  • Exercise a strong decision-making mandate across the team as a proxy to product owners
  • Stay in sync with product owners on priorities and day-to-day decision making
  • Support product owners in collaborating with other teams and leadership to ensure team strategy aligns with overall product vision
  • Operate in an iterative mindset, focused on delivering improvements and value at high velocity
  • Define, implement and track performance metrics once a solution enters production
  • Prep and support the team on product demos

Qualifications

For RE-IGNITE:
  • Minimum of a 2-year career hiatus
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience

For this role:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced software development environment
  • Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field viewed favorably
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn industry trends / domains and end user demands from pain points
  • Experienced in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)
  • Experience using techniques like cost-benefit analysis for feature prioritization
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to successfully execute on multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Excellent communication, listening, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with a solid sense for setting priorities
  • Ability to guide own learning and contribute to domain knowledge building
  • Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas
  • Experimental mindset to drive innovation
