Moody’s RE-IGNITE is a 16-week paid full-time opportunity designed for individuals wishing to re-enter the workforce after a minimum two-year hiatus. Through this initiative, we hope to find passionate and dedicated professionals who want to resume their career, hone their individual skills and flourish in their professional journey.

RE-IGNITERS may initially join Moody’s for a 16-week duration, with the goal that they will become permanent employees after successfully completing their temporary assignment, or they may be hired as a permanent employee from day one under our supported hiring model. In either approach, during the initial 16 weeks, in addition to the work associated with their role, RE-IGNITERS receive coaching & mentoring, leadership development, networking opportunities, and guidance on trainings that could support them in their re-entry.

Job Description

As a user researcher, you will be a core member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and executing on a vision for how to grow the KYC/KYS business monumentally through new product innovation. We practice an agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development that aims to bring new products to market in 9-12 months.

You will be responsible for ensuring the voice of the customer is ingrained in all stages of new product development. You will partner with designers, product strategists, and technologists to propose, plan, and conduct user research activities and be responsible for designing, coordinating, planning, executing, and reporting on user experience research activities. The feedback you collect, synthesize, and present to collaborators and stakeholders will shape the direction of innovative new products that we expect to set new standards in the KYC/KYS space.

Specifically, you will:
  • Identify the appropriate research methods to accomplish the stated goals
  • Create proposals and research roadmaps/timelines
  • Obtain stakeholder approvals and act on research proposals
  • Recruit test participants, write screeners, manage participant scheduling
  • Set up and facilitate both quantitative and qualitative research sessions in support of data-driven design decisions

Qualifications

For RE-IGNITE:
  • Minimum of a 2-year career hiatus

For this role:
  • 7+ years of experience working in the UX research field within a fast-paced software development environment
  • Demonstrated success in applying continuous customer discovery best practices
  • Deep and broad knowledge of user research methods and experience determining the most effective method for each use case
  • Expert knowledge of user analytics and research tools (e.g., surveys, WalkMe, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to successfully execute on multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to work efficiently with a solid sense for setting priorities
  • Ability to guide own learning and contribute to domain knowledge building
