Moody’s RE-IGNITE is a 16-week paid full-time opportunity designed for individuals wishing to re-enter the workforce after a minimum two-year hiatus. Through this initiative, we hope to find passionate and dedicated professionals who want to resume their career, hone their individual skills and flourish in their professional journey.

RE-IGNITERS may initially join Moody’s for a 16-week duration, with the goal that they will become permanent employees after successfully completing their temporary assignment, or they may be hired as a permanent employee from day one under our supported hiring model. In either approach, during the initial 16 weeks, in addition to the work associated with their role, RE-IGNITERS receive coaching & mentoring, leadership development, networking opportunities, and guidance on trainings that could support them in their re-entry.

Job Description

As a product strategist, you will be a core member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and executing on a vision for how to grow the KYC/KYS business monumentally through new product innovation. We practice an agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development that aims to bring new products to market in 9-12 months.

You will be responsible for research and analysis, strategic planning, and product ownership during the ‘build-measure-learn’ phase of new product development. You will partner with designers, user researchers, product analysts, and technologists in opportunity and solution framing and all stages of the innovation lifecycle. As we create ground-breaking new products that we expect to set new standards in the KYC/KYS space, together we will shape and crystallize our playbook for innovating at scale.

Specifically, you will:
  • Identify, research, and explore new opportunity spaces
  • Develop new product solutions backed by data-driven customer validation
  • Interact frequently with current and prospective customers to ensure alignment of the strategy to market needs
  • Support the design and development teams in user research, synthesizing findings, and understanding requirements
  • Develop business plans and track performance throughout the year
  • Communicate strategy, learnings, and progress to stakeholders
  • Serve as a key point of contact with the sales team on the innovation roadmap, new product launches and training, and sharing customer feedback

Qualifications

For RE-IGNITE:
  • Minimum of a 2-year career hiatus

For this role:
  • 7+ years of experience working in a fast-paced software development environment
  • Experience in venture building viewed favorably
  • Demonstrated success in applying continuous customer discovery best practices
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to successfully execute on multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to utilize empathy to prevent and mitigate team stressers and blockers while also possessing the confidence to say no when the situation requires
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to work efficiently with a solid sense for setting priorities
  • Ability to guide own learning and contribute to domain knowledge building
