Department

Moody’s RE-IGNITE is a 16-week paid full-time opportunity designed for individuals wishing to re-enter the workforce after a minimum two-year hiatus. Through this initiative, we hope to find passionate and dedicated professionals who want to resume their career, hone their individual skills and flourish in their professional journey.

RE-IGNITERS may initially join Moody’s for a 16-week duration, with the goal that they will become permanent employees after successfully completing their temporary assignment, or they may be hired as a permanent employee from day one under our supported hiring model. In either approach, during the initial 16 weeks, in addition to the work associated with their role, RE-IGNITERS receive coaching & mentoring, leadership development, networking opportunities, and guidance on trainings that could support them in their re-entry.

In the Moody’s Analytics Banking Solutions group, we help lending institutions make important decisions about their business, particularly when they are providing loans, managing risk, or conducting financial planning for the future of their institution. We do this with our innovative software and reliable analytics, helping them understand how to do their job better through training, learning solutions and advisory services. We are a dedicated team of experts in technology and financial analytics who understand what our clients need. We are currently recruiting for two key roles within the Lending Customer Advisory & Delivery team: Lending Advisor and Lending Solution Consultant.

Job Description

Role 1: Lending Advisor

In this role you will demonstrate best practices in lending and origination, translate customer requirements to deliverable solutions, facilitate customer adoption and provide subject matter expertise across the lending and origination spectrum. This key team member would:
  • Communicate best practices for delivery of lending and origination solutions during pre-sales activities, project delivery and ongoing customer engagement
  • Collaborate with customers and Moody’s relationship management teams to discover, define and formalize project engagements
  • Partner with customers on specifying business requirements and short-term and long-term loan origination transformation goals and metrics
  • Facilitate and lead requirements and design workshops to understand customers’ loan origination processes and define how these processes can best be delivered utilizing our solutions
  • Lead and/or support the solution design process with key stakeholder teams
  • Assist with review and/or documentation of the outputs derived from the project workshops
  • Actively engage in project execution by translating business needs to the project delivery teams and ensuring alignment with client requirements
  • Consult the project delivery team when critical decisions are required to help ensure customer business requirements and objectives are achieved
  • Attend and help prepare for customer steering committee meetings to relay progress, objectives and demonstrate confidence in project delivery
  • Advise on testing procedures to ensure the customer’s business objectives are achieved and consistently met with future upgrades

Role 2: Lending Solution Consultant

In this role you will facilitate client adoption of our products by partnering with clients and colleagues to successfully deliver our credit origination solutions. This key team member would:
  • Participate in and/or lead credit origination solutions delivery
  • Participate in and/or lead requirements and design workshops to understand customers’ loan origination processes and design or advise on design of components of the solution
  • Document and/or review the outputs derived from the project workshops
  • Analyze customer’s business requirements and define how our solutions can best be delivered to align with those requirements
  • Configure solutions based on customer business requirements, designs, and our lending solutions best practices
  • Develop code for integration, business rules, etc. within the solution’s extensible framework
  • Ensure proper use of source control throughout project delivery
  • Provide functional and technical leadership to project delivery team during implementation including requirements, design and development/configuration
  • Assist with documenting, categorizing, tracking, and analyzing results of testing
  • Liaise with other teams such as product, engineering and other delivery teams to research and resolve issues

Qualifications

For RE-IGNITE:
  • Minimum of a 2-year career hiatus
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience prior to career break

For Lending Advisor:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent from an internationally recognized institution
  • Banking and direct loan origination experience as a lender, underwriter, credit analyst, or similar role
  • Understanding of commercial lending, loan origination, and credit risk assessment practices across C&I, CRE, and Agriculture sectors is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing, configuring or administering commercial lending, loan origination and/or credit risk assessment software at a financial institution
  • Experience leading meetings, presentations, and/or workshops
  • Strong client orientation with commitment to client satisfaction
  • Strong evidence of being self-disciplined, highly organized, able to multi-task, and attentive to detail
  • Strong partnership and collaboration skills across stakeholder teams including Sales, Delivery, Product Management teams
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Microsoft Project a plus
  • Willingness to travel for key customer engagement milestones
  • Knowledge of Moody’s Solutions including CreditLens, RiskCalc, CMM, ImpairmentStudio is a plus
  • Technical skills related to C#, SQL, report writing, or knowledge of banking/lending systems architectures are a plus
  • Minimum fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus

For Lending Solution Consultant:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent from an internationally recognized institution.
  • Experience with SaaS, lending origination and/or credit risk management software, preferably in a configuration or software development role
  • Financial Services and banking experience in lending and loan origination preferred
  • Relevant professional experience in a software development organization, consultancy (project delivery) or a financial institution
  • Prior experience in key role implementing, configuring, or administering commercial lending, loan origination and/or credit risk assessment software at a financial institution
  • Technical proficiency in C#.Net, SQL, and database (preferably Postgres) concepts
  • Experience with R preferred
  • Strong presentation, teamwork and communication skills gained in a similar role
  • Strong team player and collaborator
  • Background in servicing external customers and building customer relationships
  • Process improvement, ability to clearly explain options and provide recommendations
  • Strong partnership and collaboration skills across stakeholder teams including Delivery, Product Management teams and technology teams
  • Project management experience beneficial
  • Knowledge of Moody’s Solutions including CreditLens, RiskCalc, CMM, ImpairmentStudio is a plus.
  • Fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
