Job Description

Moody’s Data Solutions Group is looking for a Business Application Architect to join our team. This role sits within the Business Development practice and will engage in various integration efforts to bolster solution offerings across the Moody's umbrella of products with a focus on interoperability.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design and integration of various solutions with an emphasis on microservices architecture. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for facilitating conversations between technical teams, business analysts, and product managers to accelerate initiatives to deliver more data seamlessly through repeatable processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in multiple projects involving Moody’s solutions across various organizational units.
  • Proactively gather technical requirements from internal stakeholders and engage in discussions around these requirements, possibility within the context of workshops.
  • Perform requirements analysis from a technical perspective and work closely with Project Managers to identify relevant tasks and estimate durations and resource needs for project components.
  • Research, analyze, design and deliver solutions aligned with Moody’s Analytics products and services.
  • Proactively work with technical and business project owners across Moody’s Analytics
  • Perform collaborative integration/development work with other members of the various organizational units across multiple geographies.
  • Highlight solution interoperability gaps and recommend approaches for remediation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Computer Science or holding a degree with a high Computer Science content, with excellent technical development and problem solving skills.
  • Strong development and/or software design experience, preferably within a financial institution or financial software organization with a focus on microservices architecture and API development.
  • Strong track record of excellent delivery working with business and technical teams.
  • Excellent Business Analytics skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies; capable of self-directed learning.
  • Experience working with remote teams across time zones.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and proficiency in data access techniques for both relational and NoSQL databases preferred.
