The Sustainable Finance team at MESGS provides Second Party Opinions (SPOs) of green, social and sustainability-linked bonds, Sustainability Ratings and green certification services. Our market-innovating products help clients maximize sustainability performance and stakeholder value, meet disclosure requirements and broaden access to capital.


Job Description

The Role
The Sustainable Finance Associate Lead Analyst is at the centre of VE’ strategy and objectives. This role epitomises the core of V.E business as the main assignment is to assess sustainability credentials across a range of sustainable finance transactions, including green, social, sustainable and sustainability-linked bonds and loans.

  • Lead and contribute to the production process of Second Party Opinions: Act as the Project Manager, lead the preparation of the assignment and interviews (knowledge on the context, validation of the assessment framework, preparation of the questionnaire(s), etc.), conduct individual interviews, and write and/or review deliverables/reports in line with quality standards
  • Client relation and satisfaction: ensure the quality of service delivered to our client (high quality, reactiveness, adaptability, availability), the good relationships with the client and the good application of deontological and methodology rules, as well as production processes established
  • Develop the expertise of the Agency: contribution to products’ innovation and development, in line with market needs, and in collaboration with the business line manager and product line manager
  • The main achievements expected on the role are the following:
- Due diligence internal reports
- questionnaire to prepare interviews
- reports and notes to clients


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related discipline (environmental science, engineering, social sciences, economics, or international relations); graduate degree in related field highly desirable
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience relating to sustainability/ESG, environmental and/or social impact assessment, carbon foot printing/GHG accounting, climate impact assessment
  • Project Management skills - work with the project team on assignments whilst ensuring good quality of the work and good client relationships
  • Rigour, time management and autonomy - Respect the good application of deontological and methodology rules, as well as production processes established in line with defined calendars
  • Communication skills – Being able to conduct client interviews and other client relationship interactions with confidence, clarity and eloquence
  • Analytical skills – The ability to conduct critical analysis and synthesis of information, and write deliverables in line with quality standards
  • Data analysis skills and experience - Monitor market trends and events, innovations, clients’ expectations
  • Korean speaker & fluency in English are required
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass necessary examinations as per the SFC Type 4 Licencing requirements.
