Job Description

Duties: Build and support technical processes of Moodys.com, Moody’s Rest API and Moody’s data files, the main source of Moody’s ratings and research. Help drive continual improvement in our release procedures and build new lean, repeatable processes and scripts. Serve as technical support expert with an understanding of the applications and infrastructures that drive our products. Lead and contribute towards resolving escalated production issues, maintenance projects, and enhancement initiatives. Provide second-tier support including identifying, resolving and/or escalating application issues. Setup, monitor and act upon system-generated reports for time-sensitive and regulated data feeds and ratings applications. Design and automate the process of migrating current applications to AWS Cloud. Partner with teams such as QA, Development, Program Management, Operations and Moody’s IT to meet business demands. Contribute to Business Continuity Planning. Support requests to maintain website content. Create and maintain documentation for team knowledge base.

Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related quantitative field plus 2 years of experience as DevOps Engineer, or a related position at a global financial services or credit ratings firm. Must have at least 2 years of experience with the following: working with amazon cloud services, distributed systems administration, and writing in SQL including Microsoft SQL server, and NoSQL; utilizing Agile and waterfall methodologies; utilizing programming languages including groovy, CSS, XML, .Net, Python, JSON and Java; performing root cause analysis and using troubleshooting tools such as WireShark; and documenting process flows using Confluence, and using server configuration management tools such as ansible or puppet.
