Reports to the SVP Global Benefits, responsible for managing employee benefit programs for the US. Serves a strategic role in developing benefit programs aligned with the company’s business objectives and goals. The role is also responsible for implementing and administering those benefits, providing guidance and consultation for benefit plans, managing and consulting on the development of budgets based on corporate goals, acquisitions, strategic planning and company growth initiatives and assisting in the preparation of presentation materials for governance committee meetings concerning compliance, plan design changes and cost reduction strategies.

Job Description

• Maintain current knowledge of the benefits market in the US to determine trends, practices and regulations to develop competitive benefit programs and services to meet employee and business needs
• Manage implementation and administration of benefit programs
• Assist in preparation and distribution of written and verbal communication related to benefit programs
• Manage team of benefit managers and analyst
• Manage relationships with external benefit suppliers and consultants
• Partner with legal, finance, payroll and consultants to ensure benefit plans are compliant with laws and regulations
• Partner with Procurement on benefit plan contracts and renewals
• Analyze HR policy related to benefit plans to ensure compliance with all legislation and regulations
• Work with corporate finance and corporate counsel to ensure compliance with benefits-related reporting to external agencies for mandatory reporting purposes to ensure regulatory compliance, for example 10K, Proxy, 5500 as required
• Manage administration of US Disability and FMLA leaves
• Manage policies and processes associated with sensitive employee data in compliance with HIPPA, PII and other data privacy requirements

• Assist SVP Global Benefits in providing objective strategic input and guidance to global benefits staff as required, concerning plan design, local compliance and administration
