Within MA, the Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERS) Division offers to institutions a wide range of software, analytics and services to help risk management staff understand, measure, and manage risk within an enterprise risk context.

The Research & Modeling Group resides within ERS and serves as the quantitative backbone to the credit and risk management solutions produced by the Banking RegTech, Insurance, and Risk & Finance Analytics groups. We share a passion for using our backgrounds in accounting, economics, finance, math, and machine learning to solve real-world business problems. We focus on corporate and commercial real estate risk, portfolio management, asset-liability management, and insurance analytics and collaborate with teams that specialize in other types of risk modeling.

As a researcher, you will join a team that has a rich history of providing leading-edge research and thought leadership in the credit risk arena. Job Description

An Assistant Director in the Research & Modeling Group is responsible for developing and implementing credit risk models. You will join the Portfolio Research Team as a researcher, and focus on model development and calibration.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct theoretical and empirical research on credit risk measurements and fixed income valuation
  • Work cross-functionally with different product, engineering, and research teams
  • Interact with clients across different financial institutions, understand their specific requirements and present the product solutions that address their needs

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in quantitative fields including but not limited to Economics, Finance, Statistics, Math, Operational Research, Computer Science or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming with R and/or Python
  • Knowledge in economics and/or financial modelling
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Willingness to work hard and take ownership
