Job Description

Marketing Manager CEE
Temporary Maternity contract 1 - 1.5 years to be based in Bratislava

The focus of the marketing manager in CEE is lead generation via events, digital marketing, direct marketing and the website, with the aim of increasing the number of face-to-face sales meetings. The role requires working across a range of marketing channels including direct mail, email marketing, advertising and events ranging from large exhibitions to niche conferences and generic campaigns to account based marketing for strategic accounts. The marketing manager should have significant interaction with the sales team to optimise marketing campaigns and lead generation.

The marketing manager will report to the regional marketing director and work closely with the sales managers of the CEE region.

As Bureau van Dijk’s marketing is closely integrated with its sales function the marketing manager needs to regularly meet and present to the sales team and inspire them to optimise their campaigns’ effectiveness.

Tasks
• Plan marketing activities with the sales team and regional marketing director.
• Communicate the activities in the corporate sales plan (marketing plan) to all relevant parties.
• Execute all regional marketing tasks in the global CRM system
• Give advance notice of all campaigns and events to allow the sales teams to accommodate and plan correctly.
• Execute high quality campaigns including direct mail and digital campaigns (as appropriate for the market). Adapt campaigns created by the global marketing team to local markets.
• Seek out relevant events and oversee Bureau van Dijk’s presence at both internal and external exhibitions and events to deliver correct messaging and an impression of quality.
• Create and deliver Bureau van Dijk thought leadership events.
• Have a good understanding of what Bureau van Dijk does and its vertical messaging – seek to keep learning.
• Help create KPI reports and measure performance against KPI targets.
• Be a local brand guardian and make sure Bureau van Dijk’s branding is used correctly by the sales teams you work with.
• Help maintain a good stock of marketing collateral.
• Work with the sales team to help develop and share interesting sales success stories and sales scenarios for global sharing

Bureau van Dijk is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who is a great team member and can also take responsibility for their own tasks.

Qualifications

• Commercial track record in country-level marketing
• Relevant experience in professional B2B markets, ideally where customers are in multiple verticals
• Experience with working across a range of marketing channels including direct mail, email and digital marketing, advertising and events ranging from large exhibitions to niche conferences
• Manage resources and activities in country based on strategic priorities
• Interpret, translate and independently execute country-level marketing initiatives
• Have an excellent understanding of the countries, business culture and environment
• Fluent in Slovakian and English

A background and knowledge of risk and compliance will help deliver great campaigns from the start.
