Department

The Internal Communications team provides strategic partnership and counsel to internal clients and business partners in communicating the company’s key business priorities. It delivers employee and executive communications and works to ensure employees have the information they need to do their jobs and that it is delivered in the most effective and engaging way.

Job Description

The role has two components: managing the company intranet; and developing and editing communications materials.
Managing the company intranet
  • Serves as the editor-in-chief of the company intranet
  • Manage editorial calendar
  • Create and manage intranet content
  • Serves as liaison between Communications and Technology teams to report issues, request changes and monitor resolution
  • Manages intranet enhancement project
  • Manages other delivery channels – email platform, digital signage, etc.
Developing and editing communications materials
  • Partners with internal groups to create and execute internal communication strategies
  • Effectively writes and edits clear, concise copy for all channels
Communicates and upholds Internal Communications guidelines with business partners

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in communications or related discipline.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in communications, public relations, and/or journalism, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Technical abilities:
    • Experience with SharePoint or other content management systems
    • Ability to liaise between Communications and IT teams, and test changes to the front and back end of company intranet
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience in content creation
  • Excellent writing and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Detail orientation and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to advise and influence business partners.
  • Strong positive attitude, with sense of self-motivation and accountability.
